Ceremony Commemorating 21st Anniversary of 9/11 Terrorist Attacks

LOUISA COUNTY TO HOLD CEREMONY COMMEMORATING 21st ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11 TERRORIST ATTACKS

LOUISA, VIRGINIA – Louisa County’s administrative staff, Sheriff’s Office and Fire & EMS department will hold a ceremony recognizing the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on Friday, September 9 at the Louisa County Office Building from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

Open to the public, the 9/11 remembrance ceremony is an opportunity for the community to join Louisa County employees and the Board of Supervisors in reflection. Speakers will offer their perspectives on the tragedies witnessed and the heroes that served. 

The ceremony will take place at the rear of 1 Woolfolk Drive, outside at the County’s 9/11 monument, which displays a section of structural steel from the World Trade Center. The rear parking lot will be reserved for Fire, EMS and law enforcement. Citizens may park in front of the County Office Building, which is the side facing the Courthouse.

The ceremony will be published on Louisa County’s YouTube page on the morning of September 11 as well as on the Facebook pages for Louisa County government, the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office and Louisa County Fire & EMS.
