The Louisa County Board of Supervisors and County Administration understand the concerns of citizens whose voter assignments were recently changed from Louisa to Goochland based on the census boarder that divides the two counties. The Board of Supervisors and County staff take the concerns very seriously and have been committed to resolving the concerns as expeditiously as possible.
The two counties have outlined a path to assist the voting registrars in resolving the voter reassignment issue. Although additional independent actions will be required by the Registrars and/or the Electoral Boards, under the guidance of state officials, the Louisa County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 5, 2019 to discuss the issue and consider a Boundary Line Agreement between the two localities.
