Project Perry: The Central Virginia Parrot Sanctuary - Project Perry is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary of parrots living in captivity. Here, you will have the opportunity to view a variety of rescued birds in their natural environment. Your kids are sure to enjoy this interactive opportunity!
Louisa County Historical Society - Conveniently located 1/4 of a mile from Main Street Louisa - right across from the Louisa Arts Center - the Louisa County Historical Society is a great place to bring the kids for a day to learn about history through a fun and interactive experience.
They offer FREE Family Days that includes Hands-on History Fun! Themed activities for all ages! Each Family Day will focus on a different topic and will feature living history demonstrations, hands-on children's activities, and an old-fashioned one-room schoolhouse lesson. Sponsored by Dominion Energy. January 27th, February 24th and March 24th.

Betty Queen Center - The Betty J. Queen Intergenerational Center is managed by Louisa County Parks and Recreation. The center is equipped with a gym, billiards/game room, outdoor fitness trail, and playground. Located at 522 Industrial Drive Louisa, VA 23093
Serenity Farm Equine Sanctuary - "SFES’s mission is to prevent equine neglect, abuse, abandonment and to keep equine from suffering from starvation, neglect and euthanasia." Each year, Serenity Farm hosts their annual Help A Horse Day! There are fun games, live music and vendors! Be sure to bring your kids to this fun and educational event in April, 2019!
North Anna's Nuclear Information Center - Do your kids enjoy learning about things like science and electricity? Then, be sure to visit North Anna’s Nuclear Information Center in Mineral, VA. They offer a Learning Center that includes displays, interactive exhibits, models of a nuclear reactor and the containment structure, films and brochures! This is a great place to take the kids, schedule a school field trip, or to simply enjoy a day-trip exploring!
