Quilt Making For The Advanced Beginner

If you have made your first quilt and are ready to improve your skills, this is the class for you. We will review fabric selection and preparation, rotary cutting skills, new piecing techniques, hand and machine quilting, and binding, and help you fine-tune your skills by making a 45 x 60 lap quilt. Some sewing outside of class will be required. Instructor Niki Grimsley has been quilting since 2000. Since learning her skill, she has been involved in two church quilting groups over a period of 9 years, and has worked part-time in a local quilt shop. She loves to share her knowledge with anyone who wants to learn. You will need to provide everything needed to make your quilt (including sewing machine and fabric) and will need to bring these items to class with you; for a complete list, please call our office or go to our website to print out the list. The deadline to register is March 7th. We promise ~ you will be so proud of your finished lap quilt!
