Louisa County Rabies Clinic

Rabies Clinic

Louisa County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with Maddox Feed and the Louisa County Animal Shelter every spring holds a annual Rabies Clinic to provide low cost rabies vaccinations to the public (Not limited to Louisa County residents).  Rabies Vaccinations are required by state code and local ordinances to promote public safety and prevent unnecessary spread of a deadly virus (Rabies).  This disease when contracted by humans and animals is 100% fatal if left untreated, and when contracted must be treated within the first 72 hours.  Even when diagnosed and treated, rabies can leave lingering effects.
