Join the Hearth Cooking Guild for an adventure in the late 18th-century Michie House. Participants prepare the entire meal over the open hearth using historical recipes and techniques. Class size is limited (4 Minimum/10 Maximum) so everyone has plenty to do and plenty to eat! Wear long pants and good shoes and come anticipating a memorable day with friends, old and new. These classes are for adults ages 18 and older.

Twelfth night was the celebratory culmination of the holiday season during the Colonial period. Experience how your ancestors celebrated the holidays with delicious fares of the times. Cook over a fire and experience the wonderful and flavorful hearth cooked meal. Learn how your ancestors prepared meals and how the hearth was central to their survival. Participants will meet in the Michie House, receive basic instruction in simple meal preparation and be assigned tasks and menu items, then gather at the end to enjoy the final resumee Click HERE to register
