Even if you haven’t painted since you were a child, here is your creative outlet! You can improve on your drawing skills and explore various techniques and media. Each person has the opportunity to grow and develop their skills and creativity at their own pace. Students will use a variety of media: water based paints (acrylic, watercolor, tempera), vine charcoal, oil, chalk pastels, graphite, color pencil, watercolor pencil, and ink. No matter your skill level, this is the place to explore artistic concepts such as shading, proportion, composition, and basic color mixing. These classes are for participants 19 and older. The deadlines to register are the Friday prior to class start dates. Artist Jo Gibson Rancel of Artists in Bloom is the instructor. Supplies are needed for this class: 11x15 watercolor pad (140 lbs), 11x14 drawing pad (70 lbs), graphite pencils (HB, 2B, 4B, 6B), Pencil Sharpener, Kneaded Eraser. No solvent based paints or ink, please. There is no class on March 3rd, April 7th, and May 5th.
