Parent With Purpose

Did you know that studies have shown that all youth are one decision away from being at risk? Did you know the rate of anxiety and depression in youth is predicted to reach epidemic levels within the next five years? We are living in a society that wants you to believe that youth lack motivation and discipline. When in reality, what many youth lack is direction. This highly interactive workshop will walk you through the stages of youth development and discuss how these stages impact growth and behavior. You will also learn the five needs that are essential for healthy youth development. The workshop will cover stumbling blocks that prevent success, the role of fear and limited beliefs, and the impact that you have on your child’s development. Being a parent is too important to leave up to chance and what worked for your parents 20 - 30 years ago is not going to work now. Join Louisa County Parks, Recreation & Tourism’s Director James Smith for these FREE workshops to learn how to Parent With Purpose! The workshop is held at each elementary school for your convenience. Please let us know you are coming by the Monday prior to workshop date.
