The Louisa County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) is a conduit-issuer of bonds. The IDA enables bonds to be issued with a tax-exempt status. These bonds are offered as incentives to companies involved in manufacturing and distribution activities to locate, relocate or expand in Louisa County, thereby creating, retaining jobs, promoting economic revitalization, and providing needed public and community services.
The Louisa County IDA has helped develop a growing concentration of industry in the Industrial Air Park. As the owners of the property within the airpark, the IDA can also provide land cost incentives to industries wishing to locate to the airpark. The Park offers easy access to the Louisa County Airport, and highways such as U. S. Route 33, 522 and Interstate 64. Infrastructure includes public water, public sewer, gas, power and telecommunications.
The IDA has over 100 acres available for new construction, including build-to-suit. The sites range in size from 5 to 40 acres.
