Jessica DesNoyer
Senior Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney
After serving as an enlisted musician in the U.S. Marine Corps, Jessica worked as a paralegal while attending undergraduate school at Saint Leo University. She graduated summa cum laude in 1997, with a B.A. in Criminology. In 2001, she graduated as a member of the Order of Barristers from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary, where she was a member of the honor council as well as the moot court and National trial teams.

Following a one-year judicial clerkship with 4th Judicial Circuit in Norfolk, Virginia, Jessica began working as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for the City of Newport News, Virginia. There, Jessica prosecuted cases on the juvenile, drug, and violent crimes teams. In 2005, she was cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, assigned to the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, Newport News Division, where she prosecuted select firearm and drug matters in federal court. She remained in that position until 2009, then she returned to the Newport News Commonwealth's Attorney's Office to prosecute drug crimes. Due to a change in family circumstances, Jessica relocated to Central Virginia, and she is very pleased to be serving as a Senior Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Louisa County.
