There will be a meeting of the James River Water Authority Board of Directors on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Fluvanna County Office Building, Main Street, Palmyra, Virginia 22963.

The Louisa County Office Building will be closed Friday, July 3, 2009, in observance of Independence Day.

PUBLIC MEEETING NOTICE

LOUISA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

 

The Louisa County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the following items at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2009, in the Louisa County Public Meeting Room, Main Floor, Louisa County Office Building, Louisa, Virginia:

 

1. Public Hearing - Amendments to the following sections of the Louisa County Code (Chapter 2. Administration, Article IV. Boards and Commissions) as they pertain to the Louisa County Department of Social Services:

REPEAL - Sec. 2-66. Board of public welfare.
ADD - Sec. 2-72. Department of Social Services.

2. Public Hearing - CUP03-09; May V. Robinson, Applicant/Owner; requests the issuance of a Conditional Use Permit for the establishment and operation of an assisted living facility. The property is located on the south side of Route 633 (Lasley Lane), approximately 0.50 mile west of Route 649 (Byrd Mill Road). The property is further identified as tax map parcel 38-(17)-4, in the Patrick Henry Voting District.

3. Public Hearing - The County of Louisa has applied for a grant for funds available through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. If awarded, the funds will be used for a Juvenile Probation Monitoring Program to explore and implement alternatives to juvenile incarceration.

 

Additional information and copies of the above ordinances are available for review in the Administration Department, Second Floor, Louisa County Office Building, Louisa, Virginia, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Any parties wishing to be heard are requested to attend the public hearing.
