PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

LOUISA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

 

The Louisa County Board of Supervisors will hold the following public hearing(s) on the following items at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2010, in the Louisa County Public Meeting Room, Main Floor, Louisa County Office Building, Louisa, Virginia:

 

Public Hearing - A resolution to amend the Articles of Incorporation for the Louisa County Water Authority.

A hearing regarding a resolution to amend and restate the Articles of Incorporation of the Water Authority to increase the number of members of the Board of Directors of the Authority from five to seven and to make certain clarifying amendments, pursuant to §15.2-5113(A) of the Code of Virginia and a Board of Supervisors resolution passed on July 19, 2010.

Public Hearing- Pursuant to Virginia Code §15.2-2507, Louisa County will amend the Fiscal Year 2011 Budget in order to fund a trust fund for Other Post-Employment Benefits (the OPEB liability) with the VACo / VML Pooled OPEB Trust Fund.

Public Hearing - A Resolution to Approve an Agreement to Adjust the Boundary Line of the Town of Mineral.
The Town of Mineral desires to extend its westernmost boundary to include tax map parcels 43A-(1)-A, 43A-(1)-1, 43A-(1)-2, 43A-(1)-3, 43A-(1)-4, 43A-(1)-5, 43A-(1)-7, 43A-(1)-8, 43A-(1)-9, 43A-(1)-10, 43A-(1)-11, 43A-(1)-12, 43A-(1)-13, 43A-(1)-14, 43A-(1)-15, and 43A-(1)-16, which are located on the eastern side of Route 22/208 and west of the CSX railroad. The agreement discusses primarily the proposed boundaries, the applicable Code sections permitting these changes, and the purpose of such boundary changes. The purpose is to extend the commercial scope of Mineral Avenue, and to facilitate and promote economic growth by providing the landowners with access to town services.

 

Additional information is available for review in the Administration Department, Second Floor, Louisa County Office Building, Louisa, Virginia, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Any parties wishing to be heard are requested to attend the public hearing.
