Dedicated to preserving the beauty of Louisa County through
litter prevention, recycling, environmental education and community involvement.
The Louisa County Clean Community Commission was created on October 2, 2002, to serve as an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors and the County Administrator. The commission is primarily charged with developing ideas and concepts that will ultimately lead to a cleaner, better looking and healthier Louisa County.
Through its programs and activities, the Clean Community Commission strives to:
  1.     Educate citizens in the proper methods of waste disposal and litter control.
  2. Promote and enhance community awareness and participation in recycling, anti-              litter, and county beautification programs.
  3.     Encourage citizen participation in the identification and development of innovative recycling, litter, and junk removal programs.
The commission meets on the third Tuesday of each month. The public is invited to attend and address the commission on any litter related problems. For additional meeting information please call 540-967-0401, ext. 516.
The commission makes at least one yearly report to the Board os Supervisors.
