Occasionally, we are looking for a cocktail that can pack a flavorful punch without alcohol. That’s where the shrub comes in. And no, we are not talking about the hedges that decorate suburban backyards. This genius, sweet-sour concoction of vinegar and sugar, combined with fruit (or sometimes with vegetables or herbs) creates a puckery, refreshing drink concentrate. Instructor Sharon Munyak, owner of the family owned and operated Hobby Hill Farm, will show you how to make cold pressed and hot pressed shrubs. We will work with berries in season and incorporate prepared vinegars. Jars and bottles will be provided. The deadline to register for this unique class is September 13th.
